How to add your logo or watermark to your videos, without editing them
Updated: November 6, 2026
A watermark makes it clear who a video belongs to when it travels across other sites and groups, and sends people to your site or channel. The classic way is to burn it into the video with an editor, one by one. On Dembed you set it once on the player and it shows on all your videos, including the ones you’ve already uploaded.
What you can customize
- A text watermark (for example, your channel name) or an image one (your logo).
- An optional link: clicking the watermark opens your site or social profile.
- Position in any of the four corners and opacity from 20 to 100%.
- The color of the player controls, to match your brand.
- Show or hide the title on the embedded player.
Step by step
- 1Go to Dashboard → Player.
- 2Under “Logo or watermark”, choose text or image.
- 3For an image, paste the HTTPS address of your logo (ideally PNG, SVG or WebP with a transparent background).
- 4Add the link if you want it to go to your site, and choose the corner and opacity.
- 5Save: it applies instantly to all your videos, on dembed.cc and in embedded players.
Tips for a clean look
- A small, semi-transparent logo (60–80%) is visible without getting in the way.
- Avoid the corner where your videos usually have subtitles or important information.
- Use a version of your logo that reads on light and dark backgrounds (for example, white with a soft shadow).
Player watermark or burned into the video
The player watermark is convenient: you change it whenever you like and it updates on every video. But it only shows in Dembed’s player: if someone downloads the file, it doesn’t carry it.
If you need the mark inside the file (for example, because you allow downloads), burn it in with your editor before uploading, or turn off downloads for that video.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. The customization belongs to the player, so it affects all your videos at once.
