How much does Dembed pay per 1,000 views? Real RPM by country, explained

Updated: November 3, 2026

It’s every creator’s first question: “how much do I get per 1,000 views?”. On Dembed the honest answer is “it depends on your audience’s country and what advertisers paid that month”. We don’t use a made-up fixed rate table: we give you a share of the real RPM. Here’s how it works, which views count and how to estimate what you’ll earn.

What RPM is

RPM means revenue per mille: what 1,000 monetized views generate. If one month a country’s RPM is 2 USD and your videos got 10,000 monetized views from that country, those views generated 20 USD in ad revenue.

It’s not the same as CPM, which is what the advertiser pays per 1,000 ad impressions. RPM already accounts for the fact that not every view shows ads and not every ad sells at the same price.

How Dembed calculates your earnings

While the month is in progress, the dashboard shows an estimate based on the latest close’s RPM, so you know roughly where you stand.

  1. 1During the month we count your monetized views, split by the viewer’s country.
  2. 2When the month closes we take the real revenue advertisers paid in each country and calculate its RPM.
  3. 3Your share is a percentage of that real RPM, multiplied by your views from each country.
  4. 4The amount is credited to your balance and shown in your dashboard, with the per-country breakdown.

Why RPM changes by country

  • Advertisers pay more for audiences in markets with more purchasing power, such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom or Western Europe.
  • In much of Latin America, Asia and Africa RPM tends to be lower, but view volume can make up for it.
  • Season matters: it usually rises at the end of the year (holiday campaigns) and drops in January.
  • Content type and device (mobile or desktop) also affect what advertisers pay.

Which views count (and which don’t)

  • A real play of at least 60 seconds.
  • No ad blocker.
  • One per person and video every 24 hours.
  • Bot views, the owner’s own plays and bought or automated traffic don’t count.
  • Premium viewers don’t see ads, but their full views also earn you money: part of subscriptions is shared among creators.

How to estimate what you’ll earn

Use the RPM calculator and the earnings calculator: enter your views per country and the RPM to get a monthly estimate. Keep in mind it’s a guide: the final amount depends on the month’s real revenue.

A hypothetical example: 50,000 monetized views a month, 70% from Latin America and 30% from the United States. US views bring in much more per thousand, so a small part of your audience can make up half your earnings. That’s why English subtitles are worth adding.

How to raise your RPM

  • Make videos longer than a minute that hook from the start: only plays of 60 seconds or more count.
  • Add English subtitles to reach higher-RPM countries.
  • Embed your videos on pages with steady traffic (blog, forum, site) as well as sharing them on social media.
  • Avoid low-quality traffic: views that aren’t real are discarded and add nothing.
