How to embed a video in Notion, Shopify and Wix (without YouTube)

Updated: November 5, 2026

Notion, Shopify and Wix all let you add videos, but with YouTube you get other channels’ recommendations and another platform’s branding right on your page or store. Hosting the video on Dembed and pasting its link or iframe gives you a clean player with your brand. Here’s how on each one.

Before you start: the link and the iframe

Upload the video to Dembed and open its details. There you’ll find the embed link (dembed.cc/embed/v_…) and the iframe code. The embed code generator builds the responsive iframe for you, vertical 9:16 included.

Notion

  1. 1On the page, type /embed and choose the embed block.
  2. 2Paste your video’s embed link (dembed.cc/embed/v_…) and click “Embed link”.
  3. 3Resize the block by dragging its edges.
  4. 4If a link ever won’t embed, paste the regular video link as a bookmark or link: it will open in the player.

Shopify

  1. 1For a page or blog post: in the content editor, click the “Show HTML” button (<>) and paste the iframe where you want the video.
  2. 2For a product page or the homepage: under Online Store → Themes → Customize, add a “Custom Liquid” section or block (on themes that include it) and paste the iframe.
  3. 3Save and check the preview on mobile.

Wix

  1. 1In the editor, click “Add” → “Embed Code” → “Embed HTML” (or “Embed a Widget”).
  2. 2Choose “Code” and paste your video’s iframe.
  3. 3Adjust the box size and position for both the desktop and mobile versions.
  4. 4Publish the page.

Why not upload the video straight to your store

  • Heavy video files slow the page down, and in a store that costs sales.
  • Dembed’s player adapts quality to each customer’s connection.
  • There are no other brands’ recommendations pulling your customer elsewhere.
  • You see how many plays each video gets from your dashboard.

Frequently asked questions

HTML embedding is available in both platforms’ usual editors; some specific options depend on your theme or plan. If a section doesn’t accept HTML, use one that does.
