How to get paid in USDT (TRC20) step by step
Updated: November 8, 2026
USDT is a digital currency worth roughly one US dollar. For many creators in Latin America it’s the most practical way to get paid in dollars without a foreign bank account. Done right it’s simple; done wrong, a mistake in the network or address can lose the money. Here it is step by step.
What USDT and TRC20 are
USDT (Tether) is a “stablecoin”: a cryptocurrency designed to stay close to 1 USD. It exists on several networks (blockchains) at once, and each network has its own addresses.
Dembed pays USDT on the TRC20 network (the Tron network). That’s why you need a TRC20 address: it starts with the letter T and is 34 characters long. If you give an address from another network, the transfer can’t be made.
Step by step
- 1Get a wallet that supports USDT on the TRC20 network: an account on a well-known exchange in your country or your own phone wallet.
- 2In the wallet, look for “Receive” or “Deposit” USDT and choose the TRC20 network (sometimes shown as “Tron” or “TRX”).
- 3Copy the address with the copy button, never by hand.
- 4On Dembed, go to Dashboard → Monetization, choose USDT (TRC20) as your payout method and paste the address. Check the start and end before saving.
- 5Verify your identity (asked once, before your first payout).
- 6When your balance reaches the minimum (25 USD), request the payout from the same page.
Mistakes to avoid
- Choosing another network in your wallet (for example ERC20 or BEP20): the address wouldn’t be TRC20.
- Typing the address by hand or copying it from a screenshot: one wrong character and the money goes elsewhere.
- Using an address you don’t control or that’s shared with other people.
- Trusting messages asking for your recovery phrase: no legitimate party will ever ask for it, Dembed included.
Converting USDT to your currency
The usual route is to sell them on an exchange in your country or on its person-to-person (P2P) market and receive the money in your local account. Compare the selling price and fees before choosing, and start with a small amount the first time.
Keep your country’s tax obligations in mind: online income usually has to be declared.
Frequently asked questions
The dashboard only accepts TRC20 addresses (starting with T, 34 characters). Even so, check that you chose the TRC20 network in your wallet when copying it.
