Video hosting for teachers and schools: private classes with your brand
Updated: November 5, 2026
Recording classes helps students who were absent, those who need to review and those who learn at a different pace. But posting them on social media exposes them to anyone and fills the screen with distractions. With Dembed you share each class only with your students, in a clean player with the tools they actually use.
Built for the classroom
- Private links: videos don’t appear in any catalog or search and their pages aren’t indexed by Google. Only people with the link get in.
- Subtitles (.srt or .vtt) in several languages per video, for accessibility and for students from other countries.
- Playback speed: students review at 1.5× or slow down on the hard parts.
- Resume playback: each student picks up the class at the exact point.
- Folders by subject, course or term to organize all your material.
How to share your classes
- 1Upload the class recording (up to 20 GB, long 1080p classes included).
- 2Put it in its subject folder and add subtitles if you have them.
- 3Share the link in the class group, by email or in your virtual classroom (Google Classroom, Moodle…).
- 4If your site or virtual classroom accepts HTML, embed the iframe so the video plays inside it.
Control over your material
- Decide per video whether it can be downloaded.
- File addresses are signed and expire: copying the video URL doesn’t work for sharing it outside.
- Your logo or the school’s name on the player.
- You can always download your own recordings from the dashboard to keep a copy.
About advertising
Dembed is free because the player shows ads. If you’d rather your students didn’t see them, they can watch ad-free with Premium. Check your school’s rules about advertising to minors.
